On 20th June 2025, Poznań English Theatre teamed up with Nomads Theatre to present Being Human at Teatr asz.teatr.
Rather than staging a traditional narrative, this captivating showcase featured a series of original plays and poems crafted by the actors themselves—resulting in a refreshingly organic and authentic performance.
Diverse Themes, Powerful Impact
The evening wove together a mosaic of human experience—from the trials of dating and the depth of African roots, to imaginative reflections on life before birth. What made it so compelling was the seamless blend of intrigue, humour, and intensity. Each piece offered its own distinct tone, yet contributed to a unified exploration of what it means to be human.
Immersive Setting
Stepping into Teatr asz.teatr was like entering a storybook world. The venue, with its eclectic collection of quirky sofas and cosy yet capacious atmosphere, perfectly complemented the performances. It struck an ideal balance: intimate enough to foster a close connection with the audience, yet spacious enough to support vivid storytelling.

The actors deserve full credit for their exceptional work. It was a rare performance where writing, acting, and staging all shone equally. Every moment held attention—whether drawn in by emotional resonance, or lifted by lighthearted wit.
