In a whirlwind of twirls and spins, the Royal Cup 2024 Dance Tournament took centre stage at the Sports Hall in Kostrzyn Wielkopolski on March 16th.
Echoing the pulsating beats of passion and skill, couples from across Poland converged to compete for the coveted Mayor of Kostrzyn Municipality’s Trophy. The event, orchestrated by the Dance Center School of Dance, the Polish Dance Sport Association, and the Dance Sport Federation, with the backing of Deceuninck, set the stage for a spectacle of elegance and grace.

Sections and Grand Finale Gala
Divided into three sections, The Royal Cup 2024 in Kostrzyn kicked off with two dance blocks starting promptly at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, followed by the grand finale gala at 6:00 PM. Guided by Robert Ciszewski and the illustrious Iwona Pavlović, a multiple-time Polish dance champion and a familiar face from “Dancing with the Stars,” the evening gala radiated with electrifying performances and competitive spirit.
The grand finale of the second edition of the Royal Cup Dance Tournament was officially inaugurated by Szymon Matysek, the Mayor of Kostrzyn Municipality, who emphasised how the tournament epitomised the motto “Kostrzyn Municipality in Your Rhythm.”

Highlights from the Evening Gala
The evening gala commenced with a hip-hop dance showcase by the Dance Center Poznań formation, setting the stage for couples across various age categories to showcase their talents. From the sultry cha-chas to the dramatic tangos and graceful waltzes, dancers enthralled the audience with their passion for music and impeccable skills. The panel of nine judges, led by Tomasz Kadelak, meticulously adjudicated the performances to crown the deserving winners.
