If you’re a dog lover—or just someone who enjoys joyful energy, wagging tails and a sense of community—clear your weekend schedule. Kejtrówka 2025, Poznań’s beloved educational dog picnic, is back on 24–25 May, and it’s packed with everything from jaw-dropping dogfrisbee acrobatics to free vet consultations and adoption advice.
A Celebration of Companionship
Organised as part of the city’s “Kejter też poznaniak” (“The dog’s a Poznanian too”) initiative, Kejtrówka 2025 is more than a casual weekend in the park. It’s a civic-minded festival with a clear mission: to educate current and future dog owners about the responsibilities of having a pet, and to celebrate the joy that dogs bring into our lives.
It’s a space where first-time dog owners can get expert guidance, long-time pet lovers can discover new tricks (literally), and families can experience something meaningful and memorable together.
The festival is about learning, but also about celebrating the joy that dogs bring us. It’s about treating them like full members of our community.
said Patryk Pawełczak, Director of the President’s Office of the City of Poznań.

Highlights of the Weekend
The headline event of Kejtrówka 2025, Dogfrisbee Spectacle called Latające Psy (Flying Dogs), features Poland’s top dog-and-handler duos competing in various dogfrisbee disciplines. If you’ve never seen a border collie somersault mid-air to snatch a spinning disc to music, now’s your chance.
Events include:
- Freestyle (UpDog Level 1 & 2): Teams perform choreographed routines to music where dogs leap, spin, and balance with incredible timing and trust.
- ThrowNGo: A timed challenge where dogs collect discs thrown into specific scoring zones. Fast, precise, and full of suspense.
- Frizgility: A high-energy hybrid of frisbee catching and agility course running. Handlers and dogs switch between fast-paced throws and obstacle navigation.
- Time Warp: Combines speed with precision. Dogs aim for multiple catches in target areas before making a final high-scoring “Sweet Spot” throw.
- The Quadruped: A classic long-distance throw contest. Dogs must catch frisbees launched across the field. The competition celebrates its 20th year in Europe in 2025.
Our competitions are more than sport. They express the friendship between humans and dogs through fun, with a touch of healthy rivalry.
event organiser, Dariusz Radomski, put it best.
