Opolska Street Closed in Poznań for Emergency Sewer Repairs

A section of ul. Opolska in Poznań is closed to traffic since today, Thursday, 8th October, following a sewer failure requiring emergency repairs.

The closure began at around 6 am and affects Opolska between ul. Jesionowa and ul. Jarzębowa. Aquanet is carrying out the necessary sewer works, while several bus services have been diverted around the closure.

There is currently no information on how long the repairs will take.

Six bus routes are using changed routes

The closure has affected bus routes 149, 175, 611, 614, 701 and 213.

ZTM has introduced diversions using nearby streets, including Jesionowa, Kołłątaja and Lotników 302. Dywizjonu Poznańskiego. Buses operating along the diversion routes will stop at the existing stops on those streets.

The main changes are:

  • 149 is diverted via Lotników 302. Dywizjonu Poznańskiego and Górecka towards Dębiec PKM.

  • 175 uses Kołłątaja, Lotników 302. Dywizjonu Poznańskiego and Jesionowa to bypass the closed section.

  • 213 has a changed route around the Górczyn and Opolska area.

  • 611 uses Jesionowa, Lotników 302. Dywizjonu Poznańskiego and Kołłątaja between Dębiec PKM and Luboń/Żabikowo or Sycowska Centrum Handlowe.

  • 614 follows the same diversion around the closure before continuing towards Łęczyca/Dworcowa.

  • 701 is also diverted via Jesionowa, Lotników 302. Dywizjonu Poznańskiego and Kołłątaja towards Komorniki/Jeziorna.

ZTM has also adjusted departure times from Dębiec PKM and Sycowska Centrum Handlowe as a result of the changes.

For now, the closure should be treated as an ongoing disruption. ZTM has not provided an end date for the temporary arrangements, and there is no confirmed information on when Opolska will reopen.

The affected section is an important local route between Dębiec, Świerczewo and the wider Górczyn and Luboń area, so the disruption may affect both drivers and public transport passengers travelling through the southern part of Poznań.

Anyone using the affected routes today should allow extra time and check the latest ZTM information before travelling.
