Poznań Ice Festival 2025 Showcasing Dynamic Competitions and Rising Talents
Competition is at the core of Poznań Ice Festival 2025, and the festival programme includes several major events that highlight both speed and artistic complexity.
On 13 December, spectators will gather for Speed Ice Carving, a fast-paced contest running from 12:10 to 18:30/19:00, depending on final session timing. During this event, sculptors have only minutes to recreate a specific design. Poznań Ice Festival 2025 always draws large crowds for speed carving because it’s intense, noisy, and visually captivating. The combination of chainsaw precision and time pressure creates an atmosphere that feels closer to a live performance than a traditional art competition.
The highlight of Poznań Ice Festival 2025 is the Main Competition, taking place on 14 December from 9:00 to 17:00. Teams work with several tons of ice to build large-scale sculptures, often several metres tall. The level of detail, creativity and technical skill displayed during the main event is what has built the international reputation of Poznań Ice Festival 2025. Winning the main title is considered a major achievement in the global ice-sculpting community.

Poznań Ice Festival 2025 Offering Workshops and Family Activities
Poznań Ice Festival 2025 aims to be a fully inclusive event, not just a competition for professionals. On 14 December, a special session of children’s workshops will take place from 12:00 to 15:00, giving younger participants a chance to try simple sculpting techniques under safe supervision. For many children, this becomes their first encounter with ice carving, making Poznań Ice Festival 2025 both educational and inspiring.
In addition, on 12 December, the festival will open with the Small Sculpture Competition from 16:00 to 19:00. This event highlights smaller works created with precision and finesse, allowing audiences to appreciate the finer details of ice art up close. Poznań Ice Festival 2025 uses these additional programmers to ensure that everyone from professionals to children finds something engaging.
