From 15th June, Poznań’s lakes and pools are open for a refreshing summer. Residents can enjoy swimming at various locations until the end of the season, with a range of activities and facilities to make the most of the sunny days.
Kasprowicza Summer Pool: A Splashing Start
Opening Hours and Special Sessions
On 15th June, the Kasprowicza Summer Pool welcomed Poznań’s residents for a refreshing plunge. For the first week, it’s open from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. From 22nd June, coinciding with the end of the school year, the pool will extend its hours, opening from 9:00 AM, with early morning sessions (7:00 AM to 9:00 AM) dedicated exclusively to swimmers in the 50-metre pool.
Entry Fees and Discounts
The entry fees remain unchanged from last year, with regular tickets priced at 23 PLN and concession tickets at 16 PLN. Additional discounts are available for holders of the Large Family Card and seniors with the Poznań Gold Card. A 10% discount is offered on a 10-entry pass, and after 6:00 PM, tickets are only 12 PLN. Members of the OK Poznań programme can enjoy entry for just 1 PLN. Tickets are available at the pool’s entrance and online via ToBilet.pl.
Facilities and Amenities
Visitors to the Kasprowicza pool can enjoy a 50-metre sports pool, a pool with a slide, and a paddling pool with water attractions for children. The vicinity also offers beach volleyball courts and street workout equipment. There will be a food point and a sunbed rental service at the pool.
Chwiałka Pool: Ready for Action
Opening and Events
Chwiałka, another summer pool, opens after the school year ends. The first to use this facility will be participants of the Enea Junior Poznań Triathlon on 22nd June. The pool will open to the public on 23rd June, operating from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily, with the same pricing structure as the Kasprowicza pool.

Four Beautiful Locations
Starting 15th June, outdoor swimming enthusiasts can choose from four picturesque lakes:
- Rusałka,
- Strzeszyńskie,
- and Kierskie (Smocza Beach in Krzyżowniki and Parkowa Beach in Kiekrz)
Safety and Regulations
Swimming areas will be guarded from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM by a minimum of two lifeguards, with three at Kiekrz. Flags indicate swimming conditions: white for safe swimming and red for no swimming. Visitors are reminded to follow beach regulations, such as obeying lifeguard instructions, not leaving children under 10 unattended, and avoiding swimming after consuming alcohol. Grilling is not allowed, but designated areas for barbecuing are available near Strzeszyńskie and Rusałka, and a fire pit is provided at Kiekrz.
Enhanced Safety and Accessibility
Poznań’s beaches are equipped with safety gear, including boats, life rings, defibrillators, buoys, lines, and lifeguard towers. A special beach wheelchair is available for visitors with limited mobility at all swimming locations. The surrounding areas have been thoroughly cleaned, and new sand has been added to Rusałka and Krzyżowniki.
Water quality is regularly tested by the County Sanitary and Epidemiological Station and Poznań Sports and Recreation Centres. In case of any health risks, beaches will be closed based on the sanitary-epidemiological services’ decisions.
