Rogalowe Muzeum Celebrates its 10th Anniversary

Join the celebration as the Rogalowe Muzeum (St. Martin’s Croissant Museum) marks its 10th anniversary with a family festivity on Poznań’s Old Market Square. Enjoy a day filled with creative workshops, a book premiere, guided tours, and delicious croissants—perfect for kids and adults alike!

A Day of Fun and Tradition Awaits

This coming Saturday, 24th August 2024, Poznań’s historic Old Market Square will come alive with jubilant celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of the Rogalowe Muzeum (St. Martin’s Croissant Museum). Starting at 11:00 AM, the square will be filled with exciting activities for the whole family, making it a day to remember. Located on J. B. Quadro Street, right in the heart of Stary Rynek (Old Market Square), the event promises to be an unforgettable experience for both young and old, showcasing the unique cultural heritage of Poznań in a fun and interactive way.

The Highlight: Book Premiere

One of the major highlights of the day will be the official premiere of the book Gonito po Poznaniu z Rogalowym Mistrzem (“Tag Around Poznań with the Croissant Master”). This beautifully illustrated book takes readers on a rhymed adventure through Poznań, led by the Rogalowy Mistrz (Croissant Master), a distinguished pastry chef. As the master searches for his lost hat, he introduces readers to the city’s most fascinating sights and teaches words from the local Poznań dialect.

Rogalowe Muzeum: book premiere

This charming book serves as a guidebook, picture dictionary, and storybook all in one, making it a perfect keepsake for families exploring the city. During the festivities, attendees will have the chance to purchase the book, and some lucky participants might even win a copy with a special dedication and commemorative stamp. Additionally, there will be a presentation of the top family-friendly attractions in Poznań, and children will get to decorate their own pastry chef hats — a fun, hands-on activity that requires no prior registration.

Creative Workshops and Sweet Surprises

From 11:10 AM to 1:40 PM, children aged 5 to 10 can participate in the “Widokówka z Poznania” (“Postcard from Poznań”) workshops, where they will decorate their own postcards using coloured sands while listening to enchanting Poznań legends. These 30-minute sessions are sure to spark creativity and a love for local folklore. Given the limited spaces, it’s advisable to sign up in advance on the Rogalowe Muzeum’s (St. Martin’s Croissant Museum) website.

For those looking to capture the day’s memories, the “Rogalowa sesja zdjęciowa” (“Croissant Photo Session”) offers a unique photo opportunity. Participants can put on traditional pastry chef outfits and pose with various props in a specially designed setting, creating a picture-perfect souvenir of the day. Additionally, throughout the event, there will be ongoing competitions, delightful surprises, and, of course, the opportunity to sample some delicious Rogale Świętomarcińskie (St. Martin’s croissants), Poznań’s iconic pastry.
