This summer, Termy Maltańskie (Malta Thermal Baths) invites visitors to take a nostalgic dive into the 1990s with its unique retro campaign—while simultaneously planning a bold expansion that includes new slides, saunas, and even a year-round skating trail. Here’s everything you need to know about the 2025 season and what lies ahead!
Poznań’s Aquatic Powerhouse is Getting Even Bigger
Set on the scenic shores of Lake Malta, Termy Maltańskie has long been a jewel in Poznań’s recreational crown. But even a venue that draws thousands of visitors every weekend knows it can’t afford to stay still.
As Jerzy Krężlewski, President of Termy Maltańskie, puts it:
All entertainment venues—whether aquaparks or amusement parks—begin to feel repetitive to customers after a few years. Everyone seeks novelty. If owners don’t offer it, first comes stagnation, then a drop in attendance. We can’t let that happen.
With that philosophy in mind, Termy Maltańskie is preparing an ambitious expansion. The plans include enlarging the outdoor beach area, adding new pools and thrilling waterslides, and developing the unused land where a former vodka factory once stood. This transformation aims to enhance the visitor experience and keep the aquapark at the top of its game.

New Features in the Works?
Among the more innovative plans is the creation of an expansive outdoor sauna designed to accommodate at least 250 people, along with several smaller, secluded saunas nestled within the nearby forest. A year-round skating trail is also in the works—used for ice skating in winter and rollerblading in summer. Rather than a classic ice rink, it would be a system of paths offering a more flexible and scenic experience.
To support the anticipated increase in visitors, a multi-level parking garage for 800 vehicles is being proposed, with a direct connection to the entrance via a raised footbridge. The main obstacle for these developments remains the approval of a new zoning plan by the city council. Financially, the expansion would be covered through a combination of credit (two-thirds) and Termy’s own funds (one-third).
Our dream is to make the entrance to the forest saunas accessible through water. It wouldn’t be a traditional ice rink, but a path system. We want to create immersive, nature-infused experiences and give people something fresh to come back for.
says Termy Maltańskie’s president, Jerzy Krężlewski.
Summer 2025: Jump into the ’90s – OFFLINE and Loving It
While future plans are unfolding, Termy Maltańskie is fully immersed in its most imaginative summer season yet. The campaign theme? “Jump into the ’90s – Just Like the Good Old Days.” It’s a celebration of the pre-digital era: no filters, no feeds—just flip-flops, sand, and sun.
Think beach parties with retro décor, foam slides, cassette music, and Michael Jackson hits pumping from a boombox. There’s even a life-size phone booth, soda kiosks, and a dance instructor leading aquadance in vintage neon gear. Children bounce on inflatable slides while their parents relive memories of gum games, VHS tapes, and walkmans. It’s a joyful, deliberate slowdown from digital life—an open invitation to go OFFLINE.
The campaign doesn’t stop at nostalgia. It touches something deeper: the desire for genuine connection in an overconnected world. As Krężlewski says, this isn’t just play—it’s a manifesto for joyful presence. For older generations, it’s a vivid memory lane. For Gen Z, it’s a glimpse of a simpler time where happiness came from experience, not exposure.
