Your Poznań Story Matters Competition

1. The Competition

The Your Poznań Story Matters Competition is organised by Firefly New Media Ltd, the company behind Poznań Magazine and magazine.ad.

The Competition invites people to submit genuine stories connected with Poznań. Two winning stories will each receive a RestaurantWeek® voucher for two people.

2. Who Can Enter

The Competition is open to people aged 18 or over.

Your story must have a genuine connection to Poznań. You do not need to live permanently in the city to enter.

3. When to Enter

The Competition opens on 30.09.2026.

The closing date for entries is 25.10.2026, 23:59.

Entries received after the closing date may not be considered.

4. How to Enter

To enter:

1. Create or use a free account on magazine.ad.
2. Submit your genuine Poznań story through the magazine.ad submission system.
3. Add this sentence to the very end of your submission:

This story is a submission for the Your Poznań Story Matters Competition.

The sentence helps our editorial team identify Competition entries and will be removed before publication.

Entry is completely free. You do not need to purchase an Early Adopter plan or any other paid magazine.ad service to enter.

If an otherwise eligible submission does not include the Competition sentence, we may contact the submitter to confirm whether they intended to enter.

5. Your Story

Your submission should be your own work, or you must have permission to submit it.

Stories can cover anything genuinely connected with Poznań, including community projects, schools, charities, independent businesses, arts and culture, festivals, sports, research, neighbourhood activities, local history, tourism, family activities or people making a contribution to the city.

Your submission should contain accurate information to the best of your knowledge and must not knowingly infringe another person's rights.

If you submit photographs or other material belonging to someone else, you are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions.

6. Editorial Review

All submissions are subject to normal editorial review.

Entering the Competition does not guarantee publication.

We may edit submissions for accuracy, clarity, grammar, structure and house style, and may request additional information or clarification.

We may also decide not to publish a submission.

The Competition entry sentence will be removed from any story before publication.

7. Choosing the Winners

Two winning stories will be selected by the Poznań Magazine editorial team.

Entries will be considered based on factors including:

• Relevance to Poznań
• Quality of the story
• Interest or value to readers and the local community
• Originality

The Competition is judged by the editorial team. There is no public vote, and social media likes or shares do not determine the winners. One person can submit multiple stories for the competition; however, each submission is judged individually. The number of submissions does not affect the chance of winning.

8. The Prizes

There will be two winners.

Each winner will receive a RestaurantWeek® voucher for two people.

The prize is subject to the applicable RestaurantWeek® terms, participating restaurant availability and any stated validity period.

RestaurantWeek® is providing the prizes to Poznań Magazine for use in this Competition.

Prize details, including the applicable RestaurantWeek® edition and voucher validity, will be provided to the winners.

The prize cannot be exchanged for cash.

9. Contacting the Winners

Winners will be contacted using the email address associated with their magazine.ad account.

Winners must respond within 7 days of being contacted.

If a winner does not respond within this period, cannot be verified or is found to be ineligible, we may select another eligible entry.

The winners will only be publicly announced after they have been contacted and their eligibility confirmed.

10. Publication of Stories

All stories submitted for the competition may be published by Poznań Magazine following normal editorial review, whether it is a winning story or not.

By submitting your story through magazine.ad, you also agree to the applicable magazine.ad terms and policies relating to the submission, editing, publication and use of submitted material.

11. Personal Data

Personal data provided in connection with the Competition will be processed by Firefly New Media Ltd, the organiser of the Competition and the data controller responsible for magazine.ad and Poznań Magazine.

Personal data may be used to administer the Competition, assess entries, contact entrants and winners, verify eligibility and deal with related editorial and administrative matters.

Personal data is processed in accordance with the magazine.ad Privacy and Cookie Policy, which explains how Firefly New Media Ltd collects, uses, stores and protects personal data and the rights available to individuals.

13. Changes to the Competition

We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the Competition or these Terms & Conditions where necessary.

If the Competition cannot reasonably continue due to circumstances outside our control, we may suspend or cancel it.

14. Applicable Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

15. Acceptance

By entering the Competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Your use of magazine.ad and submission of content are also subject to the applicable magazine.ad terms and policies.
