Opposed to this union, Beata and Halszka fled to a monastery in Lviv, where Prince Siemion Słucki secretly married Halszka. The King, however, invalidated this marriage, and Halszka was sent back to Łukasz in Szamotuły, where she lived in the tower for 14 years. After Łukasz’s death in 1573, she returned to Ostróg, where she died in 1582 at the age of 43.
