English-language comedy returns to the heart of Poznań

English-language comedy returns to the heart of Poznań

Poznań’s international community has another midweek night out to mark in the diary, as International Comedy Night comes to Miasto Bar on Wednesday, 15 July 2026.

The event is being organized in collaboration with SOWA Marketing and PIE – Poznan International Events, bringing together performers from the USA, Scotland and Poland for an evening of stand-up comedy in English. A public event listing confirms the venue as Miasto Bar, ul. Szewska 20, with free entry and the show described as 100% in English.

JT Madicus headlines the night

Headlining the event is JT Madicus , an American expat in Poznań who is described by the organizers as an award-winning filmmaker and writer. His official website presents him as a medical-thriller novelist and film producer, and lists projects including full feature films  Final Diagnosis, and Good Grief .

According to the event information supplied, this will be Madicus third comedy set in Poznan Poland, making the appearance part of a growing local comedy presence rather than a one-off guest spot.

  • Barry Kirkham, a newcomer to the comedy stage from Scotland.
  • Paweł Sakowski, a seasoned performer from Poland.
  • Jakub Dauert, a Polish comedian associated with Poznań’s English-language comedy scene.
  • Piotr Szulc, host of the international Pub Quiz and who will host the evening.
