Estrada w Centrum returns to Poznań from 17 July with more than 20 free cultural events, including concerts, outdoor cinema, theatre and artistic performances across the city centre.
Poznań’s city centre will once again become an open-air cultural stage this summer as Estrada w Centrum returns from 17 July, bringing more than 20 free events to some of the city’s most recognisable public spaces.
Running throughout the holiday season, the annual programme transforms Pasaż Quadro, Plac Kolegiacki and Plac Wolności into lively venues for concerts, outdoor cinema, theatre performances and artistic projects. Organised by Estrada Poznańska in partnership with the City of Poznań, the initiative continues its mission of making culture accessible while encouraging residents and visitors to experience the city’s historic centre in new ways.
This year’s edition also places a strong emphasis on Poznań’s architectural identity, drawing inspiration from the city’s post-war reconstruction and modernist landscape for many of the artistic events planned over the coming weeks.
Bringing Public Spaces to Life
Estrada w Centrum has become one of Poznań’s best-loved summer initiatives by taking cultural events beyond traditional venues and into the city’s streets and squares.
Rather than requiring tickets or formal settings, the programme invites everyone to simply turn up and enjoy performances in the open air. Opening Night Features Three International Performances
The 2026 edition begins on 17 July with an evening of live music spread across three city-centre locations.
The opening performance starts at 18:00 on Plac Kolegiacki, where London-based artist Nuha Ruby Ra will bring her distinctive blend of alternative pop, industrial sounds and performance art. Known for combining experimental music with a commanding stage presence, her live shows blur the line between concert and artistic performance.
At 19:30, audiences can move to Plac Wolności for a performance by British collective Sly and The Family Drone. The group has developed a reputation for energetic live shows that fuse free jazz, noise, industrial music and rave culture, with improvisation and audience participation playing central roles in every performance.
The evening concludes at 21:00 in Pasaż Quadro, where Use Knife will present an atmospheric set combining industrial music, EBM, electronic rhythms and Arabic vocals. Enhanced by specially designed visual elements, the performance is intended to transform the public space into an immersive night-time cultural experience.
All three concerts are free to attend.
