Inspiration Day 2026 Returns to Poznań for Two Days of Film and Discussion

Inspiration Day is returning to Poznań in November, with this year's edition expanding to two days of discussions, presentations and conversations about cinema and young audiences.

The event will take place on 26 and 27 November 2026 at Sala Chmielna in the Betonhaus complex, as part of the professional programme of Ale Kino! Pro.

This year's theme centres on the impact cinema can have on audiences and communities, as well as the ways people working in film and culture can build stronger relationships with young viewers.

The programme will look beyond the promotion of completed films, covering the process from developing an idea and production through communication, distribution, film education and activities after a film's release.

Two days, two formats

The first day will follow a traditional conference format, with presentations and discussions covering subjects including film education, impact-focused campaigns and participatory projects involving young people.

On the second day, the format will become more interactive. Participants will choose from 12 round-table topics and take part in three discussion sessions, creating more space for exchanging experiences and meeting others working across film, culture and education.

The first announced guest is Jacek Cygan, who will discuss TikTok and how cinema and cultural organisations can communicate with younger audiences on the platforms they use.

Further programme details and speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Audience Design also part of the programme

Inspiration Day will also draw on this year's Audience Design programme, which helps filmmakers understand potential audiences while their projects are still being developed.

The initiative forms part of Ale Kino! Pro, with its experiences feeding into the discussions at Inspiration Day.
