Poznań’s annual Entrepreneurship Days (Dni Przedsiębiorczości) will return on 15th and 16th of October, bringing together local government representatives, business owners and people considering starting their own company.
This year’s programme opens with a conference focused specifically on the relationship between local authorities and entrepreneurship. The event, “Local Entrepreneurship. Challenges and the Role of Local Government”, will take place on 15th of October at Plus Jeden, Poznań’s shared workspace.
A closer look at the local business environment
The conference is aimed at representatives of cities and municipalities involved in supporting entrepreneurship and local economic development.
Rather than focusing solely on business itself, the programme will look at the conditions in which businesses operate and the role local authorities can play in shaping them. Discussions will cover current challenges, changing needs among residents and entrepreneurs, and practical approaches that municipalities can use when developing their local economies.
The programme includes panel discussions with representatives of cities and municipalities, alongside presentations of selected initiatives and examples of local government practice.
For participating officials, the event also offers an opportunity to compare approaches with colleagues from other municipalities and discuss which ideas could be adapted to their own communities.
The second day is aimed at entrepreneurs
The 16th edition of Entrepreneurship Days Poznań continues on 16th of October with an event aimed directly at business owners, people considering starting a business and others interested in entrepreneurship.
“Entrepreneur Wellbeing, Because Business Starts With You” will be held at Concordia Design.
The day will use a different format, combining talks on the main stage with practical workshops, a networking area and a space dedicated to taking a break and recharging.
The central theme will be wellbeing as a business skill, including its relationship with decision-making, day-to-day work and the way companies and teams function.
Two sides of the same conversation
Putting the local government conference alongside the entrepreneur-focused programme gives this year’s event a broad perspective on the local business environment.
For municipalities, the focus is on policies, services and initiatives that can help create favourable conditions for economic activity. For entrepreneurs, the following day turns attention towards the people running businesses and the challenges they face in their everyday work.
Both events are free to attend, however, registration is required.
