Repairs to the tram infrastructure on ul. Dowbora-Muśnickiego have been completed ahead of schedule, meaning several tram lines will return to their usual routes through Most św. Rocha from Wednesday, 30 September.
The reopening comes three days earlier than previously announced and will remove the temporary diversions affecting tram and bus services in central Poznań and on routes towards Rataje.
Repairs finished earlier than expected
A damaged track slab was discovered on ul. Dowbora-Muśnickiego after its supporting base had been washed away. The underlying problem was traced to a leak in the rainwater drainage system, located close to the combined sewer and the drainage system serving the tram tracks.
The condition of the track required an urgent closure while the sewer fault was repaired. After crews dismantled the track and began excavation, they identified and fixed the source of the problem.
The repaired infrastructure is now considered safe. Once the newly laid asphalt has cooled sufficiently, tram services can resume through Most św. Rocha.
The original plan was to reopen the route on 3 October, however repair teams have been able to finish the work faster and, helped by favourable weather, have brought that forward to 30 September.

Bus diversions also end
The reopening will affect several bus services.
Lines 174 and 190 will no longer use the temporary diversion via ul. Kórnicka and Most św. Rocha.
Line 190 will also stop running on its temporary extended route to Rondo Rataje.
Night bus 231 will return from its diversion and will no longer run via Mostowa, Garbary, Pl. Bernardyński and Kazimierza Wielkiego.
For passengers travelling between central Poznań, Rataje, Franowo, Starołęka and other eastern and southern parts of the city, the return of the tram routes should make journeys more direct again.
Check departures while timetables are being replaced
Timetable displays at stops will be replaced progressively. Until that work is complete, passengers should check the latest departure information through the MPK and ZTM Poznań websites and mobile journey-planning apps.
The reopening also means that the temporary arrangements introduced during the repair will end earlier than expected, with services returning to the Most św. Rocha corridor from Wednesday, 30 September.
