Poznań's Plant Lovers Have a Green Weekend Ahead

Plant lovers in Poznań will have plenty to browse this weekend as Festiwal Roślin returns to the city for two days at Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie.

The plant market takes place on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September, moving into Pawilon 6A for this edition. Entry is free, with hundreds of plants and gardening-related products expected to be available throughout the weekend.

For anyone who has been meaning to add a little more greenery to their flat, or for experienced collectors looking for something unusual, the event offers a chance to browse plants brought directly from growers and nurseries.

Plants from growers, from small pots to statement plants

One of the main attractions of Festiwal Roślin is the range of plants on offer. The market caters for beginners as well as people already building a collection, with smaller plants sitting alongside larger specimens and more unusual varieties.

Prices start from 5 zł, while the selection also includes more expensive collector plants.

The organisers say plants are brought directly from cultivation facilities rather than through unnecessary intermediaries. Price labels also show the festival price alongside a comparison with prices found in online shops, giving visitors a straightforward way to assess the offer.

For shoppers with a particular plant in mind, the organisers are also inviting visitors to contact them in advance. They say they will try to source requested plants where possible.

More than just houseplants

Alongside the plants themselves, visitors can browse a selection of pots and accessories, as well as products for looking after their new purchases.

The market is expected to include:

  • Houseplants in a range of sizes

  • Collector and less common varieties

  • Cacti and other smaller plants

  • Pots and plant accessories

  • Eco-friendly fertilisers

  • Plant protection products

  • Growing products and substrates

  • Books and other items for plant enthusiasts

The combination means visitors can potentially arrive looking for one new plant and leave with everything needed to grow it at home.

A green weekend in the city

This September's Poznań edition will be held in Pawilon 6A at Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie, ul. Głogowska.

The event is free to enter and both cash and card payments are available. The Saturday opening hours are particularly generous, with the market running from early morning until evening.
