Poznań Weekend Events for 22–23 March: Nostalgia, Vinyl and Design

Let’s go through Poznań weekend events that burst with colour, creativity, and nostalgia. Whether you’re a design enthusiast, a music collector, or someone who still remembers rewinding VHS tapes with a pencil, there’s something for you.

Back to the 90s at Centrum Kultury ZAMEK

From 22 March, Centrum Kultury ZAMEK becomes a vibrant portal to the past with Najntisy Forever! Popkultura w Polsce lat 90(Nineties Forever! Pop Culture in 1990s Poland) The exhibit is part nostalgic memory lane, part cultural study – an interactive, family-friendly event. The first of the Poznań weekend events lets you relive your childhood or discover the quirky charm of the 90s at this sensory-rich exhibition.

Wander through installations that recreate forgotten icons of Polish public life: old-school video rental shops, kiosks, and posters of boybands long gone. Touch-and-play sections allow visitors to interact with Game Boys, LEGO bricks, and – for the truly brave – figure out how to operate a Walkman again.

The value of the exhibition lies not only in the objects themselves but in the fact that they have survived. Thanks to passionate collectors who were once 90s kids, we now get to revisit these material echoes of a time when pop culture was loud, wild, and completely unfiltered.

explains Tomasz Żaglewski, the curator.

If you ever cried during The Lion King, know the difference between a Super Nintendo and a Pegasus console, or remember why you had to rewind tapes before returning them to the video store – this is your cultural playground. But even if you don’t, this exhibition is a hilarious, heartfelt crash course in a decade that helped shape modern Poland.

  • Daily 12:00–20:00
  • Tickets: 25 zł / 20 zł
  • At CK ZAMEK, Święty Marcin 80/82

The Ultimate Polish Design Showcase

On 22–23 March, the Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie will once again host Targi Rzeczy Ładnych (The Fair of Nice Things), Poland’s largest and most loved fair for design, craft, and aesthetics. If your idea of joy includes handmade ceramics, designer furniture, quirky prints, or rare textiles – this is your happy place.

This edition of TRŁ is their biggest yet. At the second of the Poznań weekend events in this guide 310 Polish makers and brands are exhibiting their stuff across 10 zones – from ceramics and glassware to wellness goods, children’s toys, posters, lighting, and even artisan food in the DELI zone.

A highlight is the “TRŁ Symbole Designu: Karol Śliwka”(TRŁ Design Symbols: Karol Śliwka) exhibition, showcasing works by the legendary Polish graphic designer behind icons like the PKO piggy bank and Wars aftershave bottles. Also on show is “Zięta Ilustrowany” (Zięta Illustrated), where illustrators interpret the inflated steel creations of globally acclaimed designer Oskar Zięta.

The ceramics section alone features over 50 stalls – from Instagram darlings like Trzask Ceramics to the avant-garde Groovi and the intricately painted works of Ende Ceramics.

There’s also a strong local flair: Poznań’s own Miuform, Uch Studio, and Bookarest bookstore are present, alongside botanical artists, woodworkers, and papercraft visionaries. Many of these names are impossible to find outside the event – this is design discovery at its finest.

And yes, it’s dog-friendly.

  • Sat–Sun, 11:00–19:00
  • Tickets: 21.50 zł (children under 12 free)
  • At MTP Pavilion 3, ul. Głogowska 14

Vinyl and CD Fair at Poznań Plaza

If the 90s exhibition rekindled your love for cassettes, the last one of the Poznań weekend events that we have for you, the Vinyl and CD Fair at Galeria Poznań Plaza, might just reignite your record-collecting obsession.

Running through Friday and Saturday (21–22 March), the fair is a marketplace and social hub for anyone who treasures music in its physical form. Thousands of titles are on sale, from brand-new indie pressings to rare classics spanning every genre imaginable: rock, punk, metal, jazz, pop, new age, electronic, and classical.

Collectors will appreciate the chance to track down hard-to-find imports and original pressings. Casual browsers will love chatting with knowledgeable vendors, swapping stories, or maybe trading that forgotten disc gathering dust at home.

It’s not just about buying music. It’s about discovering stories. Each vinyl has a memory attached to it.

said one exhibitor.

Whether you’re a lifelong collector or just vinyl-curious, this fair is an audio adventure worth spinning into.

  • Fri–Sat, 9:00–21:00
  • Free entry
  • Galeria Poznań Plaza, ul. Drużbickiego 2
