The prepared space allows you to savour the spring atmosphere and the charms of urban nature. The caretakers of Ogród Szeląg (The Szeląg Garden) have prepared many attractions and events, not only on the opening day. The staff is preparing the Garden space for you to enjoy the spring atmosphere and the charms of riverside nature. Besides the beautiful surroundings, they are preparing soul food for you, meaning various intimate concerts and artistic workshops. This weekend marks the opening of Ogród Szeląg (The Szeląg Garden)!
You can go there with your family or friends, buy coffee, waffles, or other delicacies, swing in a hammock, and relax. You can also make prior reservations. On Sunday, April 28th, there will be a concert by the band SNY, which will be the culmination of welcoming the spring/summer event in Ogród Szeląg (The Szeląg Garden).
SNY: Bringing Musical Dreams to Life
We invite you to the concert of the SNY band during the Opening of Ogród Szeląg (The Szeląg Garden)! SNY is a Polish instrumental trio from Poznań. It is made up of three multidisciplinary musicians-composers seeking common paths of artistic expression. The band tells stories and impressions using a wide range of sounds, such as spatial, deep layers of synthesisers, bass, and pianos. The energetic, eclectic rhythms of percussion with a filling sound, and jazz melodies of trumpet and flugelhorn. Each piece is a specific picture composed together by the members of the band to provide the audience with a concert they will remember like a dream and from which they will not want to wake up soon.
Ceramic Workshops at Ogród Szeląg
Classes at the Amfora Ceramics Center in Ogród Szeląg are aimed at both beginners and experienced individuals looking to develop their skills. Fridays are for ‘Clay with Wine’, Saturdays feature regular meetings and thematic workshops, and on Sundays, we welcome participants of all ages – you can also enrol the youngest sculptors.
KontenerART: Unveiling the Riverside Season
If you want to summon the spring weather to the Warta coast, come to the opening of KontenerART. We are opening the riverside beach season, during which there will be no shortage of attractions in the urban nature’s bosom.
A series of concerts, exhibitions, workshops, outdoor cinema, and many other entertainments will kick off this Friday, April 26th. This year, there will be novelties among the colourful spaces of the Kontenery.
GRETA and Afro Poznań: Setting the Tone for the Opening
The GRETA band will officially bring spring-summer rhythms to the waters of Poznań. This vibrant ensemble will bring energy and melody to this Friday’s grand opening. Join us for the GRETA concert on April 26th.
And the day after, on April 27th, come and see an outdoor performance and fireshow prepared by Afro Poznań! For centuries, drums have reminded us of the heartbeat accompanying us since foetal life. The constant, rhythmic beats of the drum cause the dancers to immerse themselves, feel and perceive the world in an extraordinary way. At KontenerART, a variety of cyclical events offer something for everyone.
- Every Sunday, the “Targowisko Różności” (Flea Market) transforms the container beach into a vibrant exhibition space for local artists, craftsmen, and vintage collectors, offering a diverse array of handmade crafts, jewellery, paintings, and more.
- For those seeking fun and games, “Plaża gier i zabaw” hosts weekend activities such as cornhole, boules, and minigolf, along with Latin and Afro dance sessions and board game rentals.
- Fridays will be dedicated to the first edition of “Voice of Poznań in KontenerART“, where talented vocalists compete for prizes including a grand award of 3000zł and daily prizes of 500zł. Participants can join the open auditions for ten Friday vocal sessions, with winners advancing to the grand finale on July 26th. The finale features live performances with a band, allowing contestants to vie for the audience’s main prize and additional rewards from partners.
- Lastly, every Wednesday music enthusiasts can enjoy the “Demonstracja” concerts, where small groups compete for a chance to showcase their original music on KontenerART’s iconic stage, with the audience voting for their favourites.
