Winter Break 2025 in Poznań: Keep Your Kids Busy

With the winter break fast approaching, Poznań is brimming with opportunities for kids to enjoy their time off in engaging and active ways. From sports camps and squash training to aquatic adventures at Malta Thermal Baths (Termy Maltańskie), there’s something for every child. Whether your little ones are sports enthusiasts or budding artists, Poznań’s diverse programmes will ensure a memorable and enriching break.

A Snapshot of Action Winter

Last year’s Action Winter (Akcja Zima) was a major hit, attracting children from all over the city to participate in its multisport camps and activity sessions. In 2024, the initiative saw:

  • 78 participants joining the multisport camps.
  • Nearly 400 kids taking part in pool activities such as SUP boarding, kayaking, and water rescue games.
  • Over 300 children enjoying free access to ice rinks, swimming pools, and bowling alleys.

This year, the Poznań Sports and Recreation Centres (Poznańskie Ośrodki Sportu i Rekreacji) have expanded their offerings, bringing two five-day multisport camp sessions back for children aged 7–12. The camps will run from 20–24 January and 27–31 January 2025, promising a dynamic mix of sports, games, and creative activities.

A Day at the Action Winter Multisport Camp

Each day at the multisport camp is carefully planned to keep kids energised and entertained during their winter break. The schedule includes:

  • Morning Sports Sessions: Children start the day with team games and instructor-led training, including new activities like boxing lessons introduced this year.
  • Creative Breaks: Eco-workshops and art sessions inspire imagination while teaching valuable lessons about sustainability.
  • Afternoon Activities: Kids can enjoy fun competitions, bowling, and even laser paintball before winding down with group games.

The camps operate from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with meals included to keep young participants fuelled for the day.

For the Action Winter Multisport Camps, parents can register their children by emailing polkolonie@posir.poznan.pl or visiting the Youth Sports Centre at ul. Gdańska 1. Registration closes five days before each camp begins, so don’t wait too long!
