Poznań is rolling out its 2025 Cycling Map, a comprehensive tool for cyclists navigating the city. Available for free in both paper and digital formats, it’s more than just a map – it’s your key to exploring scenic routes, accessing helpful tips, and joining the national cycling competition. If you love biking and want to help Poznań win the title of Cycling Capital of Poland, this is your moment.
Your City, Your Ride: The 2025 Cycling Map of Poznań
Poznań continues its tradition of supporting cycling culture with the release of the 2025 Cycling Map – an annual must-have for anyone moving through the city on two wheels. Whether you’re a seasoned commuter, a recreational rider, or a weekend adventurer, this new edition is designed to help you navigate the city’s growing cycling network with ease and confidence.
Distributed for free in both paper and electronic form, the 2025 Cycling Map is not just a tool – it’s a statement of Poznań’s commitment to sustainable, smart urban mobility. This year’s edition is more practical, more detailed, and more inspiring than ever.
What’s Inside the Map?
The front of the 2025 Cycling Map features an updated, detailed layout of Poznań, clearly marking existing and planned cycling paths, mixed-use routes, dedicated lanes, and contraflows. You’ll also find roads with bike access, key crossings, and locations of self-service repair stations. It’s designed to help you find the safest and most efficient way around town.
Flip it over and you’ll find a cyclist’s handbook: helpful information about traffic rules, the types of cycling infrastructure, safety tips, and “smart routes” that make moving through the city faster and easier. There are also zoomed-in views of popular biking destinations such as Lake Malta and the Marcelin Forest.

Ride to Win: Join the Race for Cycling Capital of Poland
The map isn’t just about getting from A to B – it’s your gateway to joining a national cycling challenge that rewards every kilometer you ride. Starting June 1st, cyclists across Poland are logging their rides in the Aktywne Miasta (Active Cities) app, competing for the title of Cycling Capital of Poland.
Last year, over 70,000 cyclists rode a staggering 14 million kilometers nationwide. Poznań’s riders contributed over 417,000 kilometers, securing second place among large cities. This year, with the help of the new 2025 Cycling Map and a strong local effort, Poznań is going for gold.
How to Participate
Participation is simple and open to everyone. Download the Aktywne Miasta app, register, and choose “RSP 2025” under the Competitions tab. Select Poznań as your city and decide whether to join an existing group (school, company, club) or create your own.
The app tracks your rides automatically – and it works anywhere in the world. Whether you’re cycling through Poznań’s parks or vacationing abroad, every kilometer still counts for Poznań.
The main competition runs from June 1 to June 30, but there’s also a pre-season training period to get you warmed up and ready.

Companies, Schools, and Friends in the Saddle
Poznań is making the challenge a community affair. Last year saw companies like Żabka, Ikea, Bridgestone, and Unilever compete for the title of most bike-friendly workplace. In 2025, even more local businesses have signed up – and schools have joined the race too.
The school that collects the most kilometers wins a generous voucher for sports gear, and family members are welcome to help their school team. It’s a fun, healthy way to build team spirit and spread cycling awareness.
Local Rewards for Local Riders
While national rankings are exciting, Poznań is also rewarding its own top performers. The top 25 women and top 25 men logging the most kilometers for Poznań will receive Decathlon gift cards (worth up to 1,000 PLN), along with commemorative event t-shirts. Riders who place in the top 100 also receive shirts and the chance to win bike gear in a lucky draw .
Special “bonus events” called lotne premie (flying bonus) will pop up around the city throughout June – ride to the secret location and receive small prizes and accessories. It’s like a scavenger hunt on two wheels!
A Map That Moves With You
The 2025 Cycling Map isn’t just about paper – it’s about movement, exploration, and community. With detailed cycling infrastructure, practical advice, and a connection to Poland’s largest biking event, it’s an invitation to ride with purpose.
You can even integrate the app with Garmin devices for seamless ride tracking. Just make sure to select “cycling” as your activity type and double-check your settings to ensure your kilometers count.
Let Every Kilometer Tell a Story
This June, every ride matters. Every trip to the store, every commute, and every scenic loop adds up – for you, for your health, and for Poznań’s shot at the national title.
So grab the 2025 Cycling Map, join the ride, and be part of something bigger. Because in Poznań, cycling isn’t just transportation – it’s a movement.
