As the days get longer and the sun shines brighter, Warta season 2025 is officially underway in Poznań. From scenic walks and lazy picnics to BBQs and live DJ sets, the Warta area is shaping up to be the go-to spot for warm days. Here’s what’s new, what’s back, and why you’ll want to spend your spring and summer right by the river.
Spring’s Here and So Are the Bins
Spring has officially arrived, and so has Warta season 2025 in Poznań. If you’ve strolled along the Wartostrada lately, you’ve probably noticed something new: 135 colourful, clearly marked waste containers lining the path, each with quirky slogans like “Czuję się taki pusty w środku” (“I feel so empty inside”) or “Hola, hola kolego! Śmieci są moje. Oddawaj!” (“Hey there, buddy! The garbage is mine. Give it back!”). These cheeky signs are all part of a clever campaign by the Zakład Zagospodarowania Odpadów (ZZO) to get everyone to pitch in and keep the area clean.

And that’s just the start. With 149 concrete bins, special containers for hot barbecue ashes (because grilling season is ON), and regular clean-ups on the calendar, it’s clear the city’s taking riverside cleanliness seriously.
As Agata Dankiewicz from ZZO put it:
We clean the WARTOstrada because it’s worth it.
What’s the Wartostrada Anyway?
If you’re just discovering the charm of the Warta or you’re finally curious about what everyone’s raving about, Wartostrada is a walking and cycling route that stretches along the Warta River. It runs from Przemysł I Bridge all the way to Lech Bridge, making it a scenic and practical path through the city. It’s a favourite with joggers, cyclists, skaters, and dog walkers—and for good reason. Along the way, you’ll pass families on bikes, students sprawled on blankets, and even delivery riders using it as a shortcut with a view.
But the Warta season 2025 isn’t only about good vibes, it’s also steeped in history. Once a working trade route bustling with merchant boats, it now blends centuries-old cobblestones and church towers with modern touches like food trucks, hammock spots, and pop-up cafés. Whether you’re deep into local history or just looking for a relaxed place to spend a sunny afternoon, Warta season 2025 offers the perfect mix of everything you need!

New Bridges, New Views
Warta season 2025 brings a shiny new upgrade: the Berdychowskie Bridges. Officially opened in late February, these two modern bridges connect Chwaliszewo and Ostrów Tumski with Berdychowo, making it easier than ever to hop from one riverside hangout to another.
At 165 and 117 metres long, they’re not just functional—they look sleek too. They’re well-lit at night and friendly for pedestrians, cyclists, and anyone pushing a stroller or wheelchair. Basically, they’re a game-changer for riverside exploration.

Klub na Fali Is Back (And Bigger)
One of the Warta’s most popular chill-out zones, Klub na Fali, is back and celebrating 20 years since it first opened (originally by Lake Dominickie). Since 2022, it’s become a staple along Poznań’s riverbank, and for Warta season 2025 it’s going bigger than ever.
Opening just before Easter, the club is adding 1,000 m² of new space including a beach volleyball court, a track for boules, inflatable play areas for kids, and a new sandy beach. Plus, there’s a “grown-ups only” area for ticketed concerts and club nights featuring big-name DJs like NeeVald, Bartes, Malvee and John James.
And if you’re not the dancing type? Swing by on a Sunday for brunch with live house and R&B in the background.
What Else Is Popping Off by the River?
There’s no shortage of riverside hangouts and events in Warta season 2025. KontenerART is coming back with its usual mix of art installations, live music, workshops, and community events. It’s a solid choice whether you want to sip something cold, try some yoga, or just vibe with friends in a creative, laid-back space.
Joining the riverside renaissance is Warto Poznań, a dynamic venue that has quickly become a cultural hotspot. Located along the Warta, it offers a diverse program of events, including live music, art exhibitions, and community workshops. Warto Poznań is dedicated to fostering local talent and providing a platform for creative expression, making it a must-visit!
From August 8 to 17, the XVIII Festival of Traditional Art will take place, celebrating folk culture from around the world. The festival features performances by artisans, musicians, singers, and dancers, with events held in various locations, including the riverbank of the Warta in Poznań. One highlight is the evening Folk Jam Session, an informal gathering where participants and locals come together to share music and dance. The festival aims to promote international folklore and maintain traditions in an accessible way for all ages.

The city’s also organising educational eco-events through ZZO, so expect some clean-up actions, green-themed festivals, and a steady supply of free rubbish bags for big picnic groups.
So, What Are You Waiting For?
Warta season 2025 is more than just events; it’s about creating a space where everyone can enjoy the riverfront. From morning jogs and lazy afternoons to spontaneous concerts and sizzling barbecues, Poznań’s riverside has something for everyone. With more infrastructure, cleaner spaces, and plenty of things to do, it’s never been a better time to rediscover the Warta.
So grab your bike, a few friends, and maybe a portable speaker—you’ve got a whole season of river vibes waiting for you!
