Children in Poznań have a new reason to head to the swimming pool or ice rink this autumn. The city’s Poznań Sports and Recreation Centres (POSiR) launched its Six Seven challenge on 16th October, offering rewards to young visitors who collect stickers during their visits.
The idea is straightforward: one visit earns one sticker, and six stickers can be exchanged for a gift. The initiative is designed to encourage children to stay active while getting to know the sports facilities available across the city.
Seven venues, six stickers
The challenge covers seven POSiR venues: five swimming pools and two ice rinks.
The participating swimming pools are Winogrady, Grunwald, Chwiałka, Atlantis and Rataje. The ice rinks are Malta and Hala Sportowa Wilda.
Children receive a special booklet, which doubles as a colouring book. To complete the challenge, they need to collect six stickers and colour in all the illustrations.
There is no requirement to visit all seven venues. Children can collect every sticker at the same swimming pool or ice rink, or try several different locations. Each visit counts towards the total.
What can children win?
Once the booklet is complete, participants can exchange their six stickers for a gift from POSiR. The prizes include drawstring bags, towels, neck warmers, balls, key rings and water bottles.
POSiR has prepared 3,500 booklets and the same number of prizes. Individual prize types are available in limited quantities, so the choice may depend on what remains in stock.
The campaign is scheduled to run until the end of 2026.
A familiar slogan with a sporting twist
The name Six Seven draws on a phrase familiar to many children and teenagers. Poznań’s deputy mayor, Marcin Gołek, said the city wanted to use its popularity to encourage younger residents to make sport a regular part of their routines.
“Six Seven” is a slogan that children and young people know very well today. We decided to use its popularity and give it a sporting meaning. In this way, we want to encourage the youngest residents of Poznań to spend their time actively, visit swimming pools and ice rinks regularly, and discover the sporting opportunities our city has to offer,
said Marcin Gołek, Deputy Mayor of Poznań.
For local families, the scheme offers a simple incentive to return to familiar facilities or try somewhere new, particularly as the colder months bring more opportunities for indoor swimming and ice skating.
Where to get the booklet
Children and their parents can ask for the Six Seven colouring booklet and stickers at the ticket offices of the participating POSiR swimming pools and ice rinks.
The challenge is due to finish on 31 December 2026. Families should check availability at their chosen venue, particularly if they have a specific prize in mind.
