Autumn in Poznań is a good time to discover somewhere new to eat. As the evenings draw in, RestaurantWeek® returns with special menus, seasonal ingredients and a chance to explore the city's restaurants without waiting for a special occasion.
Running from 7th October to 25th November, the festival invites diners to book a table, catch up with friends and sample dishes created especially for the event. Participating restaurants are serving three-course menus, with prices starting at PLN 69.99 per person, plus a PLN 12.99 booking fee per guest. Reservations require a minimum of two guests..
For those wondering where to start, these four restaurants offer very different ways to experience Poznań's autumn food scene.
Four Poznań restaurants to put on your list
L33 Bistro & Bar: French-inspired dining in a historic villa
Housed in the more than century-old Liberté 33 villa in central Poznań, L33 Bistro & Bar combines the character of a traditional French bistro with a contemporary approach to food.
The building has a history of its own. When Mieczysław Malinowski built the villa in the late 1920s, its address was Libelta 5. Over time, the number five became a playful symbol of good fortune among the restaurant's team.
As the representatives of the venue explain:
We joke that spending five days at Liberté 33 brings five times more happiness. You can order the fifth cocktail on the menu or sit at the fifth table.
The restaurant's festival menu features creamy truffle penne, with the distinctive aroma of truffle giving the dish a rich, rounded flavour. It is an appealing choice for anyone looking for a relaxed but elegant autumn dinner in a historic setting.
American Dream Club: American flavours and live jazz
For an evening that combines dinner with live music, American Dream Club brings together a restaurant, cocktail bar and music venue in the heart of Poznań.
The concept grew out of the owners' passion for the United States, developed during their travels and their fascination with the atmosphere of New York's jazz clubs.
The owners describe their original ambition:
We wanted to show the diversity and richness of American cuisine, far removed from the stereotypical image associated exclusively with fast food.
That philosophy comes through in the festival menu. The featured dish is slow-braised beef cheek cooked with bourbon and onion, served with smooth celeriac purée and sweet, sautéed beetroot.
Live music performed by local Poznań artists completes the experience, making American Dream Club an option for diners who want their evening to include more than a meal.
NIFTY: A Poznań potato dumpling with an Asian twist
At NIFTY, Greater Polish culinary traditions meet contemporary influences.
The restaurant has recently refreshed its interiors and patio, alongside seasonal additions to the menu. One of the festival's highlights is a pyza, the traditional Polish potato dumpling, filled with pulled pork shoulder and reinterpreted with Asian-inspired flavours.
Another familiar local favourite, gzik, receives a creative update. Traditionally made with fresh curd cheese and commonly served with potatoes, this Greater Polish staple is presented here with a breaded potato and quince preserve.
The menu also features rolled French toast with a personal story behind it. Chef Łukasz has prepared the dish for his family during important holidays for years and has now decided to share that tradition with restaurant guests.
For anyone interested in seeing how Poznań's regional food culture can evolve while retaining its identity, NIFTY offers a particularly interesting stop.
Gusto di Napoli: Italian cooking meets Greater Polish ingredients
In Suchy Las, just outside Poznań, Gusto di Napoli brings a family atmosphere to an autumn menu inspired by both Italian cooking and Polish culinary traditions.
The restaurant was created by a daughter-in-law and her father-in-law, with the intention of making guests feel at home. Its festival offering reflects that welcoming approach while bringing seasonal ingredients to the fore.
One of the standout dishes is ravioletti filled with Polish goose, forest mushrooms and dried plum. The combination brings together the richness of goose, the earthy flavour of mushrooms and a gentle sweetness from the fruit.
The main-course selection includes turkey cooked sous vide, served with beetroot gnocchi, roasted Hokkaido pumpkin and mozzarella.
Vegetarian diners can choose caramelised sweet potato with miso paste, maple syrup, chimichurri and toasted pumpkin seeds, combining sweetness, savoury depth, fresh herbs and crunch.
For those happy to venture beyond central Poznań, Gusto di Napoli offers a seasonal menu that draws on both Italian inspiration and regional ingredients.
More autumn dining at HL Hotel Lechicka
HL Hotel Lechicka is another participating venue, offering familiar favourites suited to cooler weather.
The selection includes warming cream soups, crisp pizza and creamy tiramisu. It is an option for diners who prefer recognisable classics while still enjoying the opportunity to take part in the festival.
Together, the participating restaurants showcase the variety of Poznań's dining scene, from French-inspired dishes and live jazz to regional specialities and Italian-influenced seasonal cooking.
BreakfastWeek brings another reason to eat out
RestaurantWeek® is running alongside BreakfastWeek, which focuses on the city's morning dining scene.
Also from 7th October to 25th November, participating restaurants and breakfast spots across Poland, including Poznań, are serving special breakfast menus designed for the festival.
This edition features Alpro, with coffee options prepared using Alpro Barista plant-based drinks. The choices include an oat-based alproccino and an alprolatte Cinnamon Roll topped with a light, frothy finish.
A festival breakfast-and-coffee set costs PLN 35, plus a PLN 9.99 booking fee per guest. Reservations require at least two guests.
For residents and visitors alike, it is another opportunity to discover local cafés and restaurants, whether planning a weekend breakfast with friends or fitting a good coffee and meal into a busy morning.
Reservations for both festivals can be made here.
